I thought I was a Vendo man until I got my first Cavalier and now I love them!I'd buy it in a second. Wish it were near me. Are all the shelves there? Or is it missing some?
Probably just needs a new fan or fan motor.
 Congrats!

Spoon-feeding Newbies since 2001... Yeah..220,221 whatever it takes. Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon! The Vendo V-83 is the '59 Edsel of the coke machine world. ;p Spray painting does NOT restore a compressor 11 is louder than 10... "Hope" is good, but it's not an action plan. | | |

Thanks for the support guys, Yep it's actually a CS-96 as Jim mentioned earlier, got it home tonight, the line cord looks like it was attacted by a rabid wolverine, but a quick check out with a "suicide-cord" will tell the truth on the compressor issue ( after I let it settle in the upright postion overnight) the vending circut & coinmech (a Coinco S-75-9400 series) and the evap' fan are working just fine, so does the "Have-a-Coke" light & the correct change lamp. it's 95% complete & all the shelves are accounted for, found the lock in the coinbox, but the coin door locking bar is missing & the light up signs face (plexiglass sign) is too small, looks like it should fit a CS-80, about an 1/4" too short, you can see a gap at the top of the frame, but it lights up OK. looks like I'll be giving Steve over at Funtronics a call shortly for a sign & a wiring harness, other than the stated issues, it's fairly straight & pretty clean...I think I did all right for a "buck-fifty"  Thanks for all of your input!  Yes, pictures will follow after I clean it up & buff it out a bit. |

That's really great johnieG.By the way, I think you have an extra "f" in that. It should be a "buck-fity".

Ltran,I have a model E (waiting for restore). From what I've been able to research, most of the differences are cosmetics, a gold bezel as opposed to a silver bezel, trim on the bottom, no trim...

Johnie, Congrats to ya. I think it's a fine addition to your collection
