Perhpas the ratio is relative to the number of soda machine manufacturers originally located in the states...

Chris, it's been just under 10 years, eh. Short enough that we still miss trips to Tim Hortons or Cdn Tire.  But there's no snow to shovel in AZ.

Born and raised in Canada here. Got my first soda fix from a Vendo 44 in our general store in Saskatchewan approx. 1955.   That flashback started my career, restoring soda machines for the rich and famous in Hollywood.  ':drinkers:'

In The Metro Detroit area the Tim's are 2-3 miles apart unlike Canada where it's hardto go 2 blocks without seeing one.  Tim's in Canada is almost as plentiful as Waffle House's down south.  On some exits of 75 there will be one on each side of the interchange.
