I don't know the reference and a google search does not return anything close to PG-rated results. Clarification?

Creighton,
I'll try to tie this into soda machines and keep it PG.  During 2000-2002, I rented a house in Balston, Arlington, VA with several grad school degenerates.  To make matters worse, I started stocking the 81D I had only with beers.  One of my roommates set-up a "Beirut table" in the same room.  A Beirut table is essentially a ping-pong table filled with 10 glasses of beer in the form of a triangle on each side.  You have teams and throw a ping pong ball into the opponents' glasses.  Once one side loses all their glasses, they need to also drink the winners' remaining glasses.  Hence, the name Beirut...you can get bombed easily.

Anyway, the clean-up crew roommates and I (minus one guy whose door was still closed for some reason in the morning) found a pair of rather large bloomers and strung them around the 81D and one guy would chant "Gennifer's....."  and another person would chime in "panties...."  That's how retarded we were.  The only smart thing was to go to Cracker Barrel an hour south on 66 and nurse that hangover.  Can't get Da Cracker here in California...can't even get Waffle House.....

AC,
What fun!! Suspect the game would be "Baghdad table" these days. Understand about no 'Da Cracker out here, mom and dad send me my fixes from same. Let me know what you would like and it's on the way. Hope no hard feelings. The google search on the phrase was a bit shocking to even this old hippy :-)
Best!

What a great story! Reminds me of my college days, except no V-81.
I've never heard of the "Beirut" table game, but I like it. Though I thought I'd played almost all the others (i.e. "Sink the Ship", "Hi Bob", "Bed Boat", etc.) I even got a quarter lodged in my throat while teaching "Quarters" to a roomful of Brits when I attended Uni in England. It blocked my breathing and I nearly died. Ah... good times.

Thanks for the fun story. That Ginnifer must have been a big girl. Bet she had a "roundtop" too. '<img'>

Not too many rowdy college/grad. school days for me....Just sailing the seven seas and engaging in "Goodwill Embassador" operations in foreign countries courtesy of the US Navy '<img'>

One of my personal favorites was played like this (pretty simple, I know) A shot of beer every minute for an hour. Most people kinda shrug their shoulders and say "that sounds easy!" Hehehe......38 minutes later when counting and maintaining time becomes a problem it isn't so easy any more!

Let's see.....Yeah, we played quarters too...And a bunch of other extra-curricular drinking activities. Good memories...at least I think so, most of my memories are reconstructions or ones that were "given" to me like, "Hey, did I have a good time last night???"

I'm thirsty now......For water!!! ':drinkers:'

Brian - our version of the shot a minute was called the Century Club.  I ounce every minute for 100 minutes.  Drinking was hard enough... even harder was that you weren't allowed to leave your seat...  Eyes were floating by the hour mark.

Another game we used to play was while watching the original Star Trek, you had throw a shot back every time Bones said "I'm just a Dr...", Scotty said "she's breakin up", Spock said "logical" and then 5 shots every time Kirk kissed an alien or had his shirt ripped.  The shows were in syndication and ran back to back...  By the end of the second show, we were worse off than the century club.:p ':p'

Bryan, that's a lot like "Hi Bob" while watching the Bob Newhart Show.
