Just finishing up repairing a nice original VMC Faygo VF56,  just bored so I thought I'd post some pictures,  clean, rust free and straight, it's a nice example of an original machine, basically, it stopped cooling for the customer, found that the cooling system was undercharged due to a slow leak , aggravated by a condensing coil was blocked by a wall of dust/lint & pet-hair, so I power washed the lower compressor compartment ( filthy, hadn't been touch in decades ) replaced the main wiring harness ( dry-rotted), both the evap' & condenser fan motors, installed a system service valve on the low-side of the compressor, recovered what was left of the R12 & installed some poly conversion oil & added a leak stop treatment and converted it over to R134A, the compressor is in solid shape with a good current-draw, but not so the start-run relay assembly, so it also has a new 3-in-1 starter/booster,
I added a few newer options for the customer , a free play switch actuated by the coin-return lever, a LED bottle rack light to illuminate the bottles in the gates, repaired & made functional again  the original EM coinmech & set it back to 10-cents, bonus was I found the original price label hiding behind a hand-written tag for 25-cents.  Oh & I unplugged the condensate drain hose for the bottle compartment and installed a missing coin-door lock. & replaced the Faygo marque's lamp & installed a correct size florescent FS-5 starter so it can light the way to the Faygo red-pop (strawberry-cream soda for you out of townies)

All & all he should be pretty happy to get his machine back down into his family room & serving cold ones again.  Not a complete restoration, but it's now a solid, functional refurbished machine.

Spoon-feeding Newbies since 2001... Yeah..220,221 whatever it takes. Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon! The Vendo V-83 is the '59 Edsel of the coke machine world. ;p Spray painting does NOT restore a compressor 11 is louder than 10... "Hope" is good, but it's not an action plan. | | |

The LED lighting in the bottle door completely changes the appearance of the machine.  Really nice upgrade.  I never realized these machines had side vents for the condenser fan, I thought they faced forward.  Looks great. |

The LED light is a nice touch.  I did the same to my VFA56ZC can machine and love the look of it!  Easy to do and a cool "upgrade." |

Do you have a wiring diagram ?  Working on this machine and noticed there are molex connectors on the original wiring harness .  Thanks! |

No.  The main wiring harness on the original has a molex connector coming off the hot wire . |
