Cav72 - Bent coin release knob removal help

Does anyone know how to remove the bent coin release knob from the release bar on a Cav72?  I am trying to get mine out so I can either replace it or polish it up, but it won't come loose.  I have taken the push nut off of it, but it still won't come off.  I can try to force it as it might just be stuck, but wanted to ask first.

I’ve had good luck with a punch and hammer.

Thanks jt2139.  So it looks like you just have to give it a little help.  I just wanted to make sure by forcing it I would not break something.

Yep.. you just hit it with a punch and hammer... they are stubborn.
