A while back I saw Ray post about installing some LED lights on his Stoner candy machine and thought that would be cool to try on mine (original post below).  So over time I was on the look out for some cheap LED lights and found these for $7.95 at WalMart on close out (https://www.amazon.com/MagicTV-USB-LED-Backlight-Moodlight/dp/B07831R5J6).  They are for a TV, but thought for that price if it did not work I would not be out much.  I installed them yesterday and while not perfect it is not bad for the price.

Yes, this idea works for Stoners but also the Vendo 56 and Cavalier 72/96.

Thanks for the comments and that is a great idea about using them with the soda machines too as I have a CAV72 I getting back together now.   The prices of these LED's and the way they now come in basically in tape dispensers makes it hard not to at least try them.

Hi
You can buy the same type of self stick LED strips straight from the source (China) online.
Will run you about $2 for a single color.
You will have to wait for them to show up though.

They come in WARM white as well, which would be my choice to light a vintage machine.
Some are remote controlled multi colored...in my opinion not needed for this.
They also come in different lengths. 1Meter about $2 shipped.
You can even get 30cm to back light something small.
They are available to run on USB (5V) or (12v)
Rather than using a wall transformer, switching power supplies are available for around $5 that put out 2A and can be
mounted inside the cabinet installed with Velcro (no holes)
