Found this sign for sale and not sure it's original? The AM markings tell me it is but I know this one had been re popped, thoughts?

Original. Never known to be reproduced. I have one like it. I've had it over 35 years.

Looks like it was hung up so probably inside and that's why it looks so good?

I don't know if your sign is original or not but the sign is definitely reproduced. Below is a link for one on eBay. This is why I shy away from signs because I'm no sign expert so most likely I would buy a repop sign thinking it was vintage. If you read this eBay ad there is nothing saying it's a reproduction unless you see the photo saying 1997 but some repop signs aren't that easy to tell if it's original or not.

the only one I know of being repro'd was ours back in the 90s by the Stout Sign company here in Missouri...
That's ours on eBay (wish we would have gotten $300 each) it is dated and marked clearly,
the AM one should be the real deal.... looks like it had an easy life.

Thanks for all of the input! My sign collection consists of low end signs simply because there is no question to them being the real deal, nice signs scare me! After getting this puppy home and a good look at it, it is indeed a nice original that has had an easy life, apparently it spent most it's life in a cafe in LA according to the owner.

This sign was listed on Craigslist with minimal details and no pics, just goes to show you that you have to track down every lead you can get. 9 times out of 10 a lead goes no where but this 1 out of 10 makes it all worth it!

Way to go! That one is nice.
Most of the repos have markings different from the originals. I said most, not all. It helps to have handled hundreds of signs over the years.
Good thing that you ( we) are in this group and have plenty of experience at our disposal.
