This machine has been on ebay for weeks.  It started at $950.00 and has been steadily coming down but obviously priced ridiculously high.

I think it's an interesting machine.  It looks like it captures the point at which they started squaring off the tops but still has the round top style "bump out" coin door.

There is a picture in the Walters book of a rare prototype unembossed 7UP machine that looks just like this with the exception of the round corners.

I think it would be a cool restoration project if it could be had for a couple hundred balloons.  It sports that cool coin slot bezel that has the spear running down the left side.

It's an embossed 7UP, by the way (Embossed on the lower half).

Here's the link:

Just my piece of "General Chit Chat" for the day '<img'>

I have been talking to the owner of that machine since it was listed. I wanted the machine but the owner wont go less than $800 I think. it is a neat machine but not worth that much. 9 at least to me). I tried to explain that a square corner machine isn't going to get what a round corner machine will and the owner says that they have too much in it. Oh well.

I had one like this... an original... 7up embossed on the bottom like this one.
It still had 2 Mercury head dimes jammed in the mech.. I cleaned it up and got $1300.00
for it on eBay about 3 years ago.... Wish I would have kept it now.
But this one needs paint, then lettering and decals.....  The condition of this
one $300-$400 ..... They do look nice when finished.
