hi again I have 4 coke machines I am restoring and have so little experience. I need the handle and lock for my vendo 83.  My 83 also has the cast aluminum plate across door front which need replacing. has anyone ever come across one. |

I would be careful putting money into a Vendo 83. They don't have much value so usually you don't get out what you put into it. Unless you like the machine and want to restore it for yourself as a keeper, there are better machines out there to restore. |

V83's are a fairly common machine, I'm sure someone out there has a one they'd be willing to part out. all preaching aside.      (as evident from my tag lines*)    |

Spoon-feeding Newbies since 2001... Yeah..220,221 whatever it takes. Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon! The Vendo V-83 is the '59 Edsel of the coke machine world. ;p Spray painting does NOT restore a compressor 11 is louder than 10... "Hope" is good, but it's not an action plan. | | |

What's wrong with the decorative aluminum plate...?  Cracked...
I took the liberty of removing the "Poll" as it really does not apply...

I got the machine for 80 bucks thought ever if I parted out I wouldn't be out much. But its complete inside. Besides I never seem to be able to make money on any of my hobbys

I personally would not recommend putting any money into this restoration unless this is a machine that is "Special" to you... any dollar in, won't result in any money out as will be VERY hard to sell afterwards...this machine, although old, and from same era as others, just did not catch on and is not desirable for most...
stick to slant shelf bottle vendors... those are investment grade machines.
Ie: Vendo 81,56,110, v63's VMC 56's, Cav 72/96 Cav 64 type machines..  just a tip.!
