Picked up a Rowe Ami wallbox today and in doing some research on it, came across some vids and products to hook up an iPod to it.

I know this has been done a lot to actual juke boxes, but was wondering if anyone here has done one to a wallbox and if it was worth the cost and effort.

I have this product.  It works great on most of the wall boxes listed.  It does not work correctly on the Rock Ola 1546 models, does not recognize the first 20 selections.  You also need to add a 24VAC power supply to run the wall box.

I like the 50's table setup.  I was thinking of doing something similar but maybe with a booth.  My wall boxes are currently just sitting on a shelf.

The Seeburg 3W1 is a 100 select wall box and is the most common of the 50's models.  Also easy to obtain is the Seeburg 3WA 200 select model.  Both of these models work great with the Ipod adapter.  Other models from Wurlitzer, Rock Ola and AMI also work but these are harder to find and can be more expensive.  It also works with Consolette style wall boxes from the 60's I believe.  This link shows all compatible models and how it works.
