This showed up today. It has a great story behind it. In storage since the 50's, the guy opened it in December '15.
He found a bunch of silver dimes in the coin box, a couple hundred old bottle caps in the cap catcher and a bunch of product in the mechanism, around 50 seven up bottles, all never opened. It's a 60 year time capsule.
He kept the silver coins and I got the rest.
It was a Coca Cola machine first. You can see red everywhere, and the lettering at the top shows through the paint.
Its not going to be worked on for a while, but the dilemma is, keep it Seven Up, or turn it back into Coca Cola?

Wow... cool story.. did you get the bottles too? I like the 7up theme.... was there a 7up in this model?.... With so much Coke stuff I would lean towards the
7up or another brand if there were such options.

A few years ago Brian7up81 had a VMC 139 Embossed 7up.
I remember that Jared. I recall that his was a VMC 149. Not much difference and the same outside dimensions. the bottles came with it. I removed them from the front columns but you can see them in the far right column. The stack is jammed in the back so I have to slide it out to get them all. |

Personally I would keep it 7up. Given the story behind it, I would just wipe it down and keep as is. Congrats on the new addition
