Eric, Yup, I have a Bennett 766 done in Texaco, first and only one I got. If I could find another one worth it, I'd modify the game room plans and build a gas station facade, the pop machines would be an added touch. Plans were to redo it as a Sinclair, I bought it 'restored', then spent a year finding missing parts to make it game room worthy.
Jim - Love your Wayne. There is a gas/oil show here twice a year, haven't been to it, but I hear it's quite the market. I'll keep my eyes open for your globe
Kito - Resistance is futile. I always longed for a round top, but always out of my price range. I found a walk/don't walk sign, still looking for a pole and stand... which led to the traffic light, then the gas pump, restoring a wooden telephone booth...a few gumbal machines, parking meter and drive in speakers...finally got my 39 (in the shop for 'professional" restoration) now I need a game room to dispaly it all. As soon as I find a nice jukebox, I'll stop
Ok, after locating my '56 Nomad...
Oh, and a wooden propellor...I think a prop over the bar would look cool
Next to a cigar store Indian
It never ends....

Hey Kilroy,
I was in an antique shop today and they had a wood prop. It was marked S & S Aircraft, Winnepeg. They had $850 on it. This is the first one I've seen so I don't know if the price is out of line. They had $450 on a beat up gas pump, tho. It's only 20 miles from me, so if you're interested, I could go back and get a few pictures and a phone number.

Wow I was just talking about a wooden indian.... There use to be one in Eureka Springs, AR the reason it came up is there's a house that you pass as you enter my hometown. They had a huge pin oak tree in the front yard that was dieing so when they cut it down... they left the trunk and had some chain saw artist come and carve a huge Smokey the Bear look'n bear that they drilled a hole in the paw and it hold the flag.... Kinda cheesy... I told my wife it would have been awesome to carve a old Cigar Wooden Indian instead..... And I was at a TGIF (Fridays) restuarant .... It's a chain , anyway they have tons of Soda, Gas/Oil signs nailed up every where and right over our booth was a huge propellor..... That would be cool to have... And since I also collect old Western Electric phones I would love a booth.
My wife would like for me to be done collecting.... But I know that's impossible..... Too much cool stuff out there......
