Eric, Does this one qualify me for that coon skin hat? I'm not sure if I am going to keep this one or not, I never was a big fan of DP. I am searching to find some info. on it. I will probably sell or trade it.

You qualify for the hat and squirrel gun! Wow what a great embossing! What was DP thinking?!?!?!? How cool would that look on a 81! I've seen two rough Quikold juniors with the embossed script lettering but no brick background. Wonder how long that was used?.... Great cooler we need a place for that image in machines or the gallery. Makes you wonder what is STILL out there! Great find Terry ....keep 'em coming!!!!!!!

Gentlemen, I am thinking about selling or trading off the DP cooler. I have talked with a few more collectors as well as the DP mueseum in Texas. I cannot find anyone who has seen one of these before. It appears to be from the 30's, made by S&S products. Everyone is claiming it to be very rare because of the embossing. I may list it on e-bay, but not sure yet. Any ideas? Thanks Terry

You'd get your best price off eBay.... Is there a DP club?.... I would contact them, if there is, and let them know so the serious guys...with serious money would be watching.... As far as price?.... I have no idea what it would bring I would think you'd be sure and double your money..... Just don't know how high.... It's a great size and with the exception of a cap catcher... it's solid and complete. It definantly needs to be in our gallery and machine areas.

I just sold a VMC 81 generic bare door on ebay. I got e-mails from people wanting to build a Dr. Pepper machine. Sold for $735.00 to a D.P. collector in Sweeden. Let us know if you list yours Terry On the subject of S & S .....E bay # 6176292143. If only these oldtime coolers could tell their life stories.......
