Well stuck in a motel, Watched the new episode. They made a bit of mess on the RC. Be careful folks with slider insulation may very well contain abestoses (sp) Plugging the fan in after tear down was really bad. Insulation flying.

The neon bit was pretty good.

Yeah, I thought they butchered that RC 55. Didn't care for the paint job and always hurts to see a machine modified like that.

American Restoration.......fixed a motorcycle, re-manufactured a neon sign and butchered a complete Ideal 55. What about restorations?
The time to test that compressor would be before they cut the freon lines,  and the paint scheme sucked!
And I was very impressed with how easily they removed and reinstalled that belt buckle guard!  LOL  (It is not removable)

I agree. When I saw them tearing the RC slider apart, I wanted to yell "STOP, that needs to be restored!" They could have at least found an old rusty shell instead of a complete machine.

I only caught the end of the show. I was wondering how they removed the scuff plate. Aren't they tack welded all around the inside? Did it show them taking it off?

Saw a few minutes of it last night; as they were hammering and grinding on the cooler. Said to myself "can't wait to see the comments on here tomorrow"

You guys sound too cynical  happydrinkers
Don't worry, I'll bet this won't last more than this season. Such talent goes to waste just to add drama into the mix.

The ratings have to be dismal. I can't see this dreadful incarnation be renewed past this season. It's unwatchable now.
