First, thanks to b and the other member that pm'd me about this machine. Logistics and price make it not, doable. Some other things that concern me a little is the red inner coin door and the light blue bottle rack which should be white.,anyone else catch anything?

It's actually a great price those small details that you pointed out are probably the most common things on ALL unrestored machines.
Most people buying that machine would eventually restore it . Would be a great garage machine until one could get around to restoring.

Wow, I haven't seen that machine until now. That's a nice one. Well worth 3500 and 500 to ship one would be in it 4000, and that is with no discount on the machine. If I was in the market for a Pepsi 81 I'd do it . Solid investment

What is a transitional,machine?
What on the bottle stack indicates it's a transitional machine?
Thank you!

Transitional machines are from when square tops with electronic coin mechs and bottle stacks were starting to being produced and they used up the old mechinical bits. All sorts of odd combinations from that period.
If I'm wrong everyone will learn something. That looks to me to be a factory original Pepsi 81.
