Welcome back. Only Vendo samples I have seen were cardboard. Great question. Hope you get some replies.

They never made a metal salesman sample. The only metal salesman samples made are the Glascock and the Coca-Cola standard cooler. They did make a wide range of cardboard salesman samples. I have all of those and have attached a picture of them. The Vendo 81 is the hardest one to get in the set.

neat collection Rod, thank-you for sharing them

vendo seemed to be pretty keen on cardboard samples,

although they all seem to be of earlier machine models?

i didnt see any vendorlator samples, does this mean that

the cardboard samples were a coca cola driven sales tool

makes mental note to make up an RC81 cardboard sample!

many thanks for the info, greatly appreciated

regards GP

My friend has a very nice cooler sample with box and all original literature inside. Those bring big$$$$ when they come up for sale.  Nice collection Rod.

I guess they didn't make any salesman samples after 1955. There are not any red/white paint schemes or 60's square top models!
A very nice collection Rod!

Don't know if they just made them for this video or not but at about the 4:50 mark they do have something that looks like those samples of some coke square top machines. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P43Xx0J4PVc
