I recently picked up a newer machine with the wiring in very rough condition at the compressor terminals.  Does anybody have a wiring schematic available to properly rewire this machine ----all other electrical devices on the machine work properly ie, lighting, vend mechanisms, and coin op mechanisms.  It appears somebody tried to un-successfully replace the wiring  between the compressor and the fan.  The machine is a Vendo model # V480D-280.  Any help would be appreciated, I am anxious to see if the compressor is capable of cooling before I proceed any further.

for a quick compressor check, just unplug the compressors's little "pigtail" plug from the electrical junction block & plug it into a heavy duty extension cord, you'll then be able to see (& hear) if the compressors in running shape, note, this will only power the compressor & sometimes the compressors condenser-fan, but be careful, old wiring can be brittle & short out , & there will be no electrical ground on the machine.... don't run it this way for too long, just enough to see if the evaporator is getting cold, then go from there... Yeah..220,221 whatever it takes.
Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon!

"Hope" is good, but it's not an action plan.
