Hello Chaps

My Glasscock arrived today. looks like its missing the bottle opener and cap catcher. Apart from a couple of bent legs it appears to be in fine fettle.

Not sure if the signs are all original. they look too nice but then again the screws don't look like they have been tampered with, to slot the signs in.

Is this the original colour? its a sort of Olive colour. When I put Glasscock in Google they seem to be a lighter green.

does anyone by chance have a cap catcher for sale??

Looks like the original color to me. You do see all different colors of restored ones. Every restorer uses their own color green so they are all over the place.

Neat Cooler.....looks to be in great shape.  I know where a glascock standard "please pay the clerk" is hiding....seeing your jr., has given me the incentive to call the owner again!

The sign panels are fantastic and I hope they are originals.  happydrinkers

This cooler has been re-painted, (overspray on the I.D. tag gives it away) so you're right, it may not be correct color.

I think "maybe" the panels are repros. The reason I'm saying is I've seen these without the black outline around the
white lettering. I may be wrong but just saying.

I think you may be right. Just checked the ID Tag and as Glen expertly pointed out it does have over paint on it. So I'm assuming that when painted the panels were swapped out.

Now that its not original paint I can take it to bits to see for sure. Either way I'm still very pleased with the lady. nothing like this ever comes up this side of the world and even Mrs B only gave one tut. That's her way of approving.

Yours must have better resolution than mine. I can barely see the tag. Well atleast the mystery is solved.

Well i've pulled the tub and the signs are definitely repros.. The cooler itself looks to have been this colour forever. Where the paint has chipped/flaked there doesn't appear to be anything else underneath. but looking at the tag it has got a bit of overspray in the corners.

those signs were made back in the 80s.. bootleg.. they were made well.. and are hard to find... their not like
the cheap signs being knocked out today that fade after a month or so in the sun. they can bring pretty good money
themselves... I think it looks great... great little cooler.
