Replacing Cavalier 96 thermostat

Hi all.  I just acquired a Cavalier 96 that is in pretty good shape.  I plugged her up and put a thermometer in her, and let her run overnight.  At the highest setting of 5, the temp dipped well below freezing (close to 25 degrees).  I backed the setting all the way back down to lowest setting of 1, but the temp still hovered around 30-32 degrees.  Seems to me like I have a busted thermostat?  If so, seems easy enough to replace it.  The question is which kind...

Which one do I want for a Cavalier 96?

Does your thermostat have cut in and cut out adjustment screws (little tiny things)?  If so, try turning the cut-out screw counter-clockwise just a bit.

If you get a new thermostat you probably want the contact style.  Make sure it makes contact with the evaporator housing.

Good question...  how will I know which screw is which?  Anyone got any diagrams or anything of these old stats?
