110e respect

Ok, I know it's not as cool as an 81D or even a 110 with coin mech by the 110E 6-Case cooler is actuallyt a pretty nice machine.  

Painted all red, it's not that exciting but I got mine with a 20 inch coke bottle.  I am also thinking of jazzing it up with a yellow Serve Yourself decal toward the top.  In no way, shape or form will the sprite boy be peeking around any bottles on this machine!  

Attached is a pic...hope you guys enjoy...it's starting to get hot here in CA...glad it can hold enough drinks!

First of all, though it doesn't have vending, it is still a very cool machine. I love that machine.

No coin mech/vending mech = a few less things to gum up and malfunction. I would never turn one down.

Secondly, I am so glad that your 110e is a "Sprite Boy"-Free-Zone! I pledge that my machines will always be the same. '>

Thirdly, I hope you have velcro'd a sheet of felt or something to the bottom of that wooden case on top of the machine. I don't want to see any scratches resulting from it being up there. '>

I have 2 of these 6 case coolers.  I think they are great as well - they hold a bunch of bottles and you don't need to keep change close by.  I bought both of mine off ebay, they were in Iowa - I paid $ 250 for one and $ 150 for the other.  Haven't tried them yet to see if they work -

Your machine looks nice.  Mine are much rougher than that.

Very nice machine.... wouldn't change a thing! A great survivor! Looks to be in great condition.

Hey Kito - One of them was about 20 miles south of Waterloo - which is North Central Iowa - it was the first one I bought - the people ended up delivering it to our shop so I paid an extra $ 50 - but it was worth it.  Saved me about 4 hours of driving.

The other one was in Villisca - it was about a 3 hour trip - it was at an antique store - so bought some wooden pop crates while I was there.

The story of this machine was actually pretty interesting.  Acting on a quick tip, I got over to a house in San Francisco, which was of course, perched on a big hill.  On the way, I rented a dolly and basically rented a guy off the street corner to help me move this thing...

When we got to the house..an old Victorian, it was dark with disturbing monster / creature masks and costumes on the wall...imagine finding yourself in the Pawn Shop in Pulp Fiction....yes, the one with Maynard and the Gimp....I felt uneasy to put it mildly..I'd take the Griner Brothers from "Deliverance" any day of the week over this palce....

My "partner" and I,  though we did not speak the same language, looked at each other and understood without saying a word that if some weird stuff went down, I had his back and he had mine.

Well, everything worked out fine actually...but we had to take that machine down three flights of stairs..these were narrow and steep..it was difficult to maneuver the dolly and at times we didn't use it....it was ridiculous.  my back has still not fully recovered from getting that thing down to the street level.  Was it worth the 300 dollars I paid for it...the verdict is still out on that pending a physical '>  but was it worth it to go "Junk'in, pick up a random guy on the street, race over to San Francisco, enter a creepy house, break our backs carrying an old coke machine down the street in the Snob, I mean Nob Hill neighborhood of SF? Priceless!
