Brian - thanks for the idea. Wasn't able to find the exact same fixture but they did have one with a screw on nut that worked. The nut (goes inside the assembly) was actually just a little too big which worked great as I trimmed it to fit the interior size and now it's keyed to fit and the base assembly screws on really easy. I'll post pics later to help explain...
It'll be a bit of a bear to replace bulbs, so I'll keep looking for the snap-ins. But for now, the idea works... Thanks. |

you'll only need one socket, that rear sheet-metal housing (rectagular shell) was designed for "correct change only" lens, as well as a seperate partition on other models for a "sold-out" lens as well, I have a box of the correct snap-in type sockets somewhere in the 'Ol Soda Barn, I'll dig around & unearth them....the bulb used is an S6 size with a candelabra base, (same as a C7 night-light), available from 3 to 10 watts, 115-130volt@6-watts is typicle for vending machine use. a 10-watt may start to melting the plastic (as stated in the prior postings)...Here's a picture of the lamp in question... |

Another issue I've run into is this, the generic "snap-in" type replacement sockets, dont always work well with a standard C-7 (night-light) size bulb, but the S-6 work well because on it's shorter length... food for thought...
