What would be a fair price to pay (I know free is always best, but I don't see that happening) on some old (probably 50's and 60's) 6.5oz and 10oz ACL coke bottles? They are in the old yellow wood crates. 2 or 3 cases of them. Assuming these are the run of the mill variety and there is no rare cities or anything, They are asking roughly a buck a piece including the crates. I'm looking because I want to refill the 6.5oz bottles for my V39. I think it will be nice to have the original thick glass bottles to go with my original machine.

I would think that is a fair price if they aren't all rolled/recycled/ beat up... Are the crates in nice shape? Doubt you'll find a older Coke bottle for less than a buck a piece. Maybe they would give a better price if you bought them all.. ACL Cokes I would think would be hard to move. Good Luck

Matter of fact I'm going to a bottle show in Bellville IL tomorrow will look and see what they are asking at shows. Can you post a picture of these bottle and crates... there are some other bottle guys here and pictures would help. Crates run around $10+ (depending on condition) themselves.

Are the 6.5oz and 10oz ACL bottles worth about the same?

I wish I thought to check here first Terry. I bought a dozen or so bottles with plans to make pendent lights for the bar. Last big project for the game room., Well second to last if I can work out the details for the secret door.
I payed a little less than a dollar a bottle, the shipping was the kicker. But they all arrived in one piece

10 oz. bottles are pretty rare, I would grab those for sure. Reglar 6 oz. Coke bottles with painted labels like these are worth maybe 2/$1.00. Embossed 6 oz Coke are bringing $1.00 + Regular open wooden cases alone are worth $5.00. But the ones in the picture have dividers, and I sell those for $40.00 + each.
