That's cool.  I like the foot pedal.  I never saw one like that.  I only remeber the wall units.

Thanks everyone!
It is operational but should have the electric cord replaced.
While going through it and cleaning, I noticed the manufacture label still intact glued to the inside of the top cover. Dated in 1951.
I would like to locate the push button version which looks just like this without the foot switch, but has a 2" round chrome push button.

Cool you found a label. Only place I have ever seen the foot pedestal with topside push button was at a museum in Nebraska. Good luck on that search!!
