Hi folks - just curious.  Check out this ebay auction for a 1940's picture of a Vendorlator 242.  I didn't know they made all white Coke machines back then.

I still can't believe I got one of these down my basement stairs - then back out again a few months later.  I was much younger in the early '80's.  ':<img:'>

Interesting...
One of the only machines I recall to be all white during this period is the Westinghouse Coolerette (R-1), and this isn't even coin-operated...
I'm looking closely at the sprite boy decal and notice some text along with it... Any ideas...?

My six cents,

I doubt Vendolator (or any other manufacturer) ever applied a hand and bottle or sprite boy decal.  I think they were applied once Coca Cola took posession.
This and the fact that the decals on the white machine are much  smaller than original, leads me to believe this unit was some sort of a proposal to management.
Or maybe the Maytag repairmen had nothing better to do than paint their machine white?     '<img'>
