I have a customer wanting to sell (or trade) a nice original Coca Cola VMC-88. It doesn't look like it in the picture, but he says it is embossed. He sent me this picture, so I think the original 81A is also up for sale or trade.
He is in Alabama
PM me if interested and I'll give you his contact info. I did not discuss price with him.

Very nice on both. That Vendo 88 is a VERY tough machine to get. Single vend but still very collectible. I had about as nice a original as you are going to find about a year or so ago and quickly sold on ebay.

It really is a nice looking machine, and yes, it is a hard machine to get..... but mine is one of my favorite machines that I own!
I like how the door is centered, and how the embossing is very large!  Equal to that (didn't measure, just visual) to that of the embossed VMC 72 lettering, that is always pointed out as being the largest embossing on a small machine.

Here is a pic of my machine.....

Any chance of posting the serial number of this 88 machine?  Maybe you can ask your friend?

Wow Ed, When I saw this post I thought of you because I know you just got one of these and thought you can upgrade to this one and sell yours off but after seeing yours no need to...I didn't know yours was that nice. Looks good!

Not to brag, but I will boast (lol) this is the nicest original machine that I own.  There is absolutely nothing wrong with it, other than it's missing a trim pc on one side, and it's the thiner 44 style trim.
Do take note though, that I didn't get this machine for cheap... I had to step up and pay for it, as the seller knew what he had, and knew that if it wasn't me, it was someone else who would pay the piper.

I don't think I can upgrade this machine, as I doubt there is a nicer one anywhere.  But this one for sale looks like a very nice original too!

Now, I just have to try to get that ULTRA rare 7up88..... and I know where there one is, but the seller doesn't want to sell.

Is the VMC 88 7up confirmed? I know it's in the book but not only have I never seen one, not even in a picture. Nor have I ever talked to anyone who has seen one. If it does exsist, it would have to be the rarest upright?

I have another pic of this machine in the persons collection.... not sure if they want it posted as it displays other machines and signs etc...   I think this pic I saved when the machine was for sale, or when another member posted it here....
