No worries, please feel free to go after it. I can't imagine it being worth that much as is or the restored quote. If I'm wrong so be it as I don't like the overall look of the machine.
Good luck to you if you go for it

Properly restored , this machine can sell for upwards of 7-8 K, we can provide proof by calling proper antique restorers If it's on the internet, it must be true. I prefer calling improper antique restorers. They are a lot more fun on a Saturday night. And no, it will never, ever, nor does it now go for 6-8,000 Dollars in any condition. As john said. Run anddon't look back and don't regret anything

Many moons back I had bought one paid $50 for it pulled the compressor ( which was good ) and I took it to the scrap yard and I think I made $127 . So Run or turn it into a bird condo with a built in feeder and bird bath . It in not one that I would ever own again .

Use contacts and this board for help, what model are you looking for? There's a ton of those overpriced adds on every craigs list everywhere, but machines do come up. What's your budget?
Are you looking for a cheaply priced square top? $75-800? Are you looking for a reasonable priced round top? Like a nice original maybe a V-39, v-110 or a Cav 72/96 in the $1000-2000 range? Or are you looking for a collectors piece like an original 81 for 3000?
Or, do you want a totally rare score of the century VMC 81 for $400?

Just a reasonably priced square top. They don't pop up much by me or at all.
Was more of a venting since these high price things are what pop up more and more around me.

I also, was looking at your NJ Craigslist. You have the same variety and quantity squaretop machines we all do. If the machine looks bad in the picture, better for you. They clean up easily and are pretty simple to refurbish. Don't pay a lot of attention to the price, if a machine has been listed for a month with no bites...........well you know what to do.

I sympathize with you. I haven't bought a machine in several years. I don't think I've seen a single upright Coke machine posted in about 2 moths, much less one like I'm looking for. The closest was a Pepsi V90 for $375, but it did have a 3D sign. That NEVER happens around here. You might occasionally find a single working arcade machine for about that.

Thank you for the leads; some new some I have seen.
The "mancave one" has been up for awhile and is more of a project than I can take on.
