Not sure if there is a manual out there for it. Sounds like the problem is in the slug rejector, the top section of the mechanism, is there any number on that, like Coinco 880? A picture would help if you can get one.

Take the two tabs that are on the top corners, lift them up and pull the slug rejector out/forward. Can you post another pic of what is behind that? There should be a set of DIP switches that would control price and a few other options.

Yes, this coinmech has an electronic "slug" rejector, ( some old timers called it the "flight-deck) it uses a simple tuned-metal detection circuit that can determine the correct metal content of the acceptable coins within it's programed range, it also has some small led path detectors that help it determine the diameter of the coins.
Many 'mechs of this type often have a small dipswitchs that will allow or reject Canadian coins. another similar mech is the MARS 9600 series, which is programmable for both or it can even be setup to accept tokens or other non-USA coinage.
Looks like your in need of a manual at this point.

The right side of the slug rejector DIP switches controls US/CAN or US Only coins, have you tried toggling that to see if it'll work (even though it looks like its right)?

the smaller set of dip switches (on the right hand side as shown) the second switch says "US ONLY" for the lower selection & "US / CAN " for the upper selection...plain & simple.

Are u trying old Canadian coins ? Or new ones ? The new coins won't work as they are Bi Metal and need a conversion kit to work. I believe 2012 coins and up will give u problems. Not sure where you live, but I deal with a place in Toronto Ontario that can update your mech for you.

PS...If you should EVER unplug this style of electronic coin acceptor/slug rejector ( also called a "flight-deck" by some) on these 'mechs or a MARS 'mech with the power still applied to the coinmech proper, it will TOTALLY screw up the programing of the unit. and then you will be doing this.
