I love the square tops. Eight selections, cans, 16.9 oz bottles, little cokes, little gatorades, choc. soldiers, plus they make a great nightlight!

The nightlight comment reminded me of a rather new album out (though maybe not your style of music) called, "Coke Machine Glow".

Well you folks have me curious. Have a month or so of down time and will try a few ads (even got the blessing from the CFO :wife: first). I'll see what turns up.

I'm in the spare change boat as well. Figure I'll take a digi cam and pass along what is available.
Thanks,

Thought you'd guys love this.... I hear this all the time when
I run ads... As you all know I've been running ads well I also
included old pull knob candy machines, old gumball machines...
I got a call tonight from an older gentlemen that still runs a
route said he had several old knob type machines that he wanted to sell.... I return his call to find they're older National Vendors, glass front machines NOTHING special... I asked if he had anything older?.... He says and I qoute “I use to have
about 30 machines made by “U-Select” and “Stoner”, some wider, thinner and about 8 little ones you bolted to the wall.... But I hauled them off to a scrap yard about 10 years ago..... Got about 2 dollars a piece for 'em......” ':O'
Wish I had a RC 81 for every story I've heard like that!
Oh well.....gotta keep look'n......

Quote (MoonDawg @ Feb. 05 2005,12:51)
I'm facing the same dillema. Got a call last week from a man who has been restoring machines for many years.(Restored machines for Gerald Ford and Ronald Regan)  He worked in the movie buisness and is now retiring and moving out of state next month.
Wants to sell the last of his machines and parts. 2 Vendo 23's,  one Coke 144 and 1 Pepsi 144, Vendo 59 spintop, Vendo 39 no drum, Vendo 81D and VMC 81 generic. Plus misc. compressors, shelves etc.
He is supposed to call me when his garage and storage have been cleared and all this junk is grouped together.
So, I'm thinking, all I want is the 2 81's and spare parts. But the guy is moving after 32 years and this junk can't follow him.                 $2000.00 for all?'<img'>?'<img'>Huh?

Met with the guy today. Bought 2 generic 81's & spare 81 D door, 1 Coke 110 for parts, 2 Pepsi  VMC 110's mostly complete, (chrome  and zinc plating done on one) 1 nice Pepsi VMC139 ( ? ) two Vendo 23's, Jacobs 26 and vendo 39 cabinet. 10 compressor units, boxes of parts.
Of coarse I only wanted the 81's, but had to buy the lot. Anyone interested in the rest?

What a fun day! Hope the loading/unloading went smooth. I'd be interested in more info on the Jacobs 26. Thanks.

Wow! How incredible! Treasure chest is right.

I'm green with envy. '<img'>

I would like to see photos too.

How are the compressor units? Also please describe the spare parts.

Thanks and congrats!

Jacobs cabinet is a very straight shell and liners. Has been used as a refrigerator.
Parts: compressors bottle stacks glass doors shelves.
Also have vmc 27 shells &  enclosed stands 39 doors. If I had the time I'd like to take a truck to Chigagoland show and sell this stuff cheap.
If anyone wants some stuff it would cost as much to ship one shell as a full pallet. Maybe you guys can split this stuff, reducing shipping cost
For now e-mail me or call 805 643-8867 and i'll make good deals to members. Then I'll start e-baying stuff.
Will try and post a picture later today
