Hi friends,This may be old news, but it was new to me, so I thought I'd pass it along. I was pleasantly surprised to see Bag-In-A-box at Sam's Club the other day. I snapped the photo with my Treo 650 smartphone.

Is that a  bag of syrup in a box...?
As for the phone, technology in your pocket can be nice at times...

BIB (Bag-in-Box) is soda-syrup use in post- mix type soda-fountians at Mcdonalds, & all your other fast food joints & gas sations, quicky-marts, etc. as opposed to Pre-mix (stainless steel Tanks) FYI| Quote (MoonDawg @ Jan. 27 2005,12:46) | | What is bag in box? |

Spoon-feeding Newbies since 2001... Yeah..220,221 whatever it takes. Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon! The Vendo V-83 is the '59 Edsel of the coke machine world. ;p Spray painting does NOT restore a compressor 11 is louder than 10... "Hope" is good, but it's not an action plan. | | |

Well I happened to be near that Sam's Club today, so I swung in to see how many gallons of syrup the box holds and it is 5 gallons!! People with post-mix soda fountains (like mine) often unsuccessfully talk their local Coca-Cola bottler into selling syrup to them, so this is cool.
On the shelf in the photo, they had:
 Coke
 Diet Coke
 Sprite
 Barq's rootbeer
 Vanilla Coke
 Mello Yellow
and even that cherry flavor that is for making those frozen Cherry Cokes!

 Pretty cool!

 Here's my machine:

The only problem is I think you have to be a dealer or have a vending license to buy the syrup from Sams. I thought about buying a soda machine one once for my apartment when I lived in FL because my place is where everyone hung out. They told me that they wouldn't sell it to me. Oh well that is when I bought my first machine. |

Thanks Creighton, it feels good to finally run with you big dogs. Never thought of the wine route! I have no idea. Interesting thought though.
As you could probably see from the photo, mine is in the "lobby" of my large dedicated home theater.
