Hi,

I have a Cavalier 73 that stopped working this weekend.  It was cooling just fine Saturday but Sunday it is not cooling at all.

I suspect the compressor failed.  Is there a way to verify that?

Next question is how to get it it fixed.  Is it possible to get a new compressor and have a local guy work on it or would I need to take it to someone.

Any suggestion on a good shop.  I am located in Santa barbar County, CA.

I unplugged it for a while.  When I plugged it back it, the fan is running and I hear a couple of clicks but the air still feels warm after and hour or so. It doesn't sound like the compressor is running but I am new at this so I am not sure.

Thanks,
Wayne
