I just was watching the Andy Griffith show and as Andy was coming out of Wally's gas station, low and behold a Rowe/Canteen style gum machine.  The show was from 1963.  Gum machine, soda machine, and cigarette machine (not shown) all right next to each other.  You gotta love the old shows.  I also saw this gum machine in an episode of the Twilight Zone.  I wonder if it was from the same prop dept.

Cool picture, would that be a Quikold in the picture?

That gum machine looks to be a little difficult for kids to reach. laugh

Quantum Leap is a great series to watch for props. Especially when he goes back to the 40's and 50's.

Hmmm.. the more I look at it I think it may just be a shadow and light from the screen door... embossing would be higher up...
still great stuff... all probably laying in a back lot warehouse now... down

While channel surfing last night, I stumbled across an episode of The Waltons.  There is a cooler in Godsey's Store.  I think it might have been a Master.  There were signs affixed to the front and sides to cover the embossing.
