Hello

I have been working on my two Vendo 63 and now I want to get the light working. So how do you remove the panel (the red Enjoy Coca-Cola)  on the front of the machine to replace the light bulb?

Kevin,

Open the cabinet door and you'll see two machine screws located along the side of the door towards the top; remove these and then gently pry the plexiglass frame out to access the bulb.

My six cents,

First, open the main door, & look for the two large phillips-head screws with a big serrated washer behind them, (just opposite the signs right edge), remove these screws & with one hand on the face of the sign, gently pry around the right-hand edge of the sign's trim & gasket where it meets the machine...it'll pop right open (like a door on a hinge) the sign's left side is held in the machine by two large aluminum pins...

the gasket can be quite sticky, so take care not to tear it... ':<img:'>

Hello

Thanks I just pasted another test with your directions.  The brown machine light fixture is in much better shape. I will pick up two bulbs tomarrow at Lowes & give it a test.

I pick up machine number 3 Wednesday afternoon. My wife asked if I was going to sell one or two of the machines. I told her I was keep all three until we have our annual oyster roast in late January. That way all my friends will get to see the machines in action, buy beer for 25 cents & then I can get some firm offers on two of the three machines.  I will post pictures of the third machine when I get it home.

Thanks for the help

Kevin

Kevin, how do you guys get so lucky to find so many cool old machines?
I never find any in my area.
Anyone from Minnesota have any advice they are willing to share?

Hello

I just retruned home this afternoon with my third machine. I will post a picture of it when I return from a trip away from work. I have purchased all my 3 machines from E-bay. You need to check every day & then look  for machines that are close to your home. The three machines I have all came from here in SC. I would consider going to GA or NC to pick one up. At this point I am going to get all three up & running. The let my friends purchase two of them. I will keep machine three if all goes according to my plan.

Hello

I have a vendo 63 that has a can insert.  Anyone have any ideas how to locate a bottle insert?  The one in there is not deep enough to accomodate bottles and the trays taper for cans.

Kevin C. Thanks for the advice.
Do you mind sharing how much you paid for each of the 3?
Thanks,
~Markito
