Any thoughts? I was thinking about putting the Squirt boy and bottle at the bottom. Putting "DRINK" in the top left corner above the Squirt bubble.

Would the sign be embossed or a decal?
As long as the sign or decal is proportionable to the top of the machine. If it's to big it may look over crowded and too busy at the top.
But, I do like the idea of the Squirt themed machine...

I wouldn't over do it.. I like that design as is.. maybe put a Squirt boy or cap on the sides... don't put anything below or do the DRINK But that is just me... the generics were done for other brands, remember seeing a generic years ago at Chicago as a Nesbitt's all orange with a nice Nesbitt's logo/decal (old) on the front. was awesome looking.... Would love to see more generics made into small brand sodas. Good Luck and keep us posted.

I like the idea, machine would look good as you have it pictured, maybe add the 'Drink Squirt' logos (see pic) on the sides where the 'Have a Coke' would be. I could go either way on the sprite boy, he was in most of their advertisements, and may look decent on the machine somewhere. Great Cinco De Mayo thread...Squirt mixes quite well with some tequila!

I'm still surprised at how clean a machine appears and you take it apart and find all of that rust.

Very nice ! ! !
I would like to obtain a decent generic 81 to make into a Grapette as I have an original porcelain sign for the cabinet door and two different sets of original decals for the side

Spoon-feeding Newbies since 2001... Yeah..220,221 whatever it takes. Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon! The Vendo V-83 is the '59 Edsel of the coke machine world. ;p Spray painting does NOT restore a compressor 11 is louder than 10... "Hope" is good, but it's not an action plan.

Thanks for the compliments...I think I'm done with decals...I'm not putting on all the decals on the coin door either...I'm going to leave it for a while and see if I like it....I think less is more some times.

Hey Tom, Just a little soft spot; I don't really have anything great in the way of Grapette, but I'm always looking for something that catches my eye...
