I recently bought a really nice original Cavalier 55, works great except the compressor doesn't seem to stop for more then 30 seconds at a time, the temperature inside gets to cold.  I can't find a thermostat anywhere in this machine, anyone know how I can change the temperature setting?

Thanks

Yeah..220,221 whatever it takes.
Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon!
The Vendo V-83 is the '59 Edsel of the coke machine world. ;p
Spray painting does NOT restore a compressor

Thanks for the quick reply, unfortunately I think that is a C51, I have a C55, the small square top machine.

opps! sorry! guess I was a little dislexic on the model no.

should be right near the evaporator coils, under the sheet-metal hood & it may not have a knob, only a slotted shaft..

The only thing I can see under that hood is a little black box that says micro switch on it, and I don't think that is it, I'll try looking a bit harder?

Found it, behind the left bottle rack.  Unfortunately it appears to be unadjustable, the middle of it where you would usually find the knob is a big hole with the thermometer going through it, surrounded by some putty of some sort.

woo-hoo, I found it for real this time, not sure what I was looking at inside of the machine.  I unscrewed the panel off of the back of the machine and pushed aside some insulation and there it was.  A real nice thermostat to, not your typical Vendo thermostat.  Actually had a little arrow which pointed to the temperature it was set at as you turned the knob.
