never seen one, that's cool looking. I am not sure why no one has talk about this machine in the machine. Maybe I just miss the article. Mike

I question if it is real. Look at where the "reg. U.S. Pat. Off" wording is. UNDER the logo. That's 1941. 1920s would be in the tail of the first "C". Besides, brown with gold for a machine doesn't cut it for me. LOL.

They show how "nice" it looks, but show it working.

Yes, this is a real machine and most likely it came from the Schmidt Coca-Cola museum auction back in 2011 for $10,000. Here is the link: http://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/9686251

If I were a betting man I would say that it is. I remember looking at this machine when I was at the auction.

Here's another Tavernette from the Schmitt museum. http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:First_Coca-Cola_Vending_Machine.jpg I'm guessing these were prototype machines. Obviously the first machine is just what it looks like, an early icebox. A carousel drum was modified from another machine? Belt driven compressor and cooling system added. Handle and bottle chute machined and that coin mech..... looks exactly like the ones I found on bathroom stalls at the department stores when I was a kid

No matter where it came from or the color. I still want it. I just need to save for another 10 years.
