Need help with restoration of coke tray
«

I am not a Coke collector. I am an avid antique telephone collector. If I was to start collecting anything else, my wife would leave me. I do have a 1938 (?) Coke tray that has a woman holding an old phone. This tray has some real condition problems. Now to my question. Is there anyone out there that does restoration of these old trays? Thanks in advance for any help.

Well I see no real point in having a Coca-Cola serving tray restored. The value in them is the artwork that was done how ever many years ago and once a repair is done the value drops to almost nothing. The tray I think you are talking about is from 1930 and in mint condition is worth about $600.00. It would most likely cost more to repair it then it would be worth. There are a lot of reproduction trays out there, I am not sure if that one is available as a reproduction or not but you might look around for it.

Even in bad shape, authentic coke trays command a decent price. I also am of the opinion don't try to restore.

I would have to second that. I have seen this tray at a antique store and they had it for $235.00 and it was in alright
condition, so please dont do any thing to it.

Thanks for the replies to my restoration question. Even though my Coke tray is in bad shape, I will take everyones advise and not try to have it restored. Thanks again.
