last tuesday afternoon, a courier came to the house and removed my vendo 81.

its a good job they gave me a fistful of dollars before they put it in their truck,

otherwise it would have been an even sadder day.......................................

i had bought a restored 81D about x6 years ago which sits in the kitchen and so

when the right price came up on this one the old girl had to go......................

she cost me just over $1000 & sold for just over $4000 so shes been a good girl.

sad to see her go as first soda machine i bought and took a long time to find her

but tough times and bills to pay, so shes gone & still have the 81D in the kitchen

new owner is going to restore her so have given them details of all the us parts

suppliers etc so hopefully she will the get the love and attention she deserves!

regards

$1000 6 years ago and $4000 now... With how bad the dollar is, how much did you lose!!

Seriously, that's a good price to get for an original machine if you have the 81D to keep you going.

thx

it was bought and sold in good old english pounds of course

[£800 and £2800] just roughly converted to dollars to make

a bit easier to understand the conversions thats all. if the

courier had in fact turned up with a fistful of dollars he would

have to make trip to the bank before hauling the machine away

GP, you never  forget your first machine. Take comfort  that it is going to a good home that will bring back her  former glory, and hey, a profit is  a bonus
