Update:  So I was in our local Lowe's Grocery store doing our normal grocery shopping.  In the past they have been hit or miss in regards to carrying 8oz Coke in glass bottles, but to my surprise I saw on an end cap a display with a mixture of Coke, Sprite and more importantly Diet Coke in 8oz glass bottles.  Needless to say I cleaned them out of all six packs of Diet Coke (5 in total), but then decided to try my luck at speaking with the grocery manager about possibly getting more.......possibly a few cases.   Of course I explained to him about having an old coke machine that only takes glass bottles and the difficulty in getting Diet Coke and after he looked at me with a bit of confusion he said he could place a special order and is going to get me four cases.  We will see if that happens, but either way I am glad to see Diet Coke in glass bottles.

I don't remember the cost but I did the same thing at my local grocer . I caught the coca cola man in there restocking  drinks ,He told me what day he would be back and i called him and he did bring me some 8oz coca cola ,sprite and diet cola in glass bottles. That was last summer have not tried that this year yet.

McCarter - It was $3.99 per six pack or about .66 cents a bottle.

I saw 12 oz  mountain Dew and Pepsi bottles in my local grocery store today. At a 1.00 a bottle I will have to think on it. But encouraged  it's made it to a local shop

A 20'ish young man was restocking the Pepsi section at the locale Freddy Meyer.
I Asked if he knew if they would be getting glass bottles of MD.

He proudly pointed to the plastic ones and said they are right there.
Now he knows the difference between glass and plastic :-)
Did learn that, all new stuff shows up as endcaps first.
