I know some one in my area who has a Vendorlator 27A (they say) Have not seen it and wanted to know what you may think one needing repair in good condition would be worth.Just a ball park or some thing to go on  or would it be worth the trouble for me to go 70 miles to look at it?They don"t know how to send pic so is it worth a look. Some times you know it may be better if they don't get some body to take pictures cause then it might get gone.

OK, we have no picture to go off of so it a little difficult to answer your question but I will try. Condition is everything, does it cool? Are all the parts still there?  take all that into consideration (what it will cost to get it operational again) when you put a dollar value on it. Here is a post on craigslist listing one for $450.00 needing quite a bit of work. You look on Ebay at some of the mint & restored go for upwards of $4500.00  If it were that close to me and it was under $800.00 and worked I would make the drive to look at it. oh

Thanks for the reply, I thought if it were complete even not cooling it may be worth $300 to $500 but I do not know any one who has one or restored one so just wanted a general reply.

IMO 70 miles is a long way to drive for a 27 without knowing anything about it, including price. Only thing that machine has going for it is the drum, $350. If you restore it then you will be in it more then you will ever get for it. I really nice original 27 might be worth $1,000 but it would have to really clean, a 27 that need restoration maybe around $500.

I'm a sucker for those small machines, I would make the drive if the guy can tell you that the drum is inside and doesn't want more than maybe $400 for it.  I'd go a little higher if it was complete and cooling... but again, I'm a bit of a sucker sometimes.  They are getting to be like stray animals for me.  I keep seeing the same machine or two on CL in my area.  I don't really want either one, but it's like those damn commercials from the SPCA, they look so sad and lonely.   I need help.

I recently drove 3 hours one way for a "27a" that turned out to be a 33, clearly labeled on the serial # plate...<sigh>.  At least it was complete and cooled fine, plus the guy basically 'threw in' a decent Glasco slider.
