Watch for a local neon artist offering a class.
Study up and build the housing and back art beforehand.
The class will help you produce the tubes and gas charging or at least a good local resource to get it done.
Ta-Da a working neon Drive In sign for at most $400.

I really want to fix and make neon signs. Very cool stuff. Just no time now.
My first big project will be the "Gates Motel" "Vacancy" :-)

In NJ net pay goes down every year thanks to our governor
Jbrooks...I certainly empathize with you making less(as I have made less every year for the last 11 years), I can't even begin to point a finger at our Governor as being at fault. The only folks in NJ that seem to complain about Christie are State or Municipal employees because he's trying to reign in costs. I just hope he doesn't have an unlimited expense account for lunches. biggrin

Get the heck out of the East Coast and come to WA. We bailed from CA. No State income tax in WA.
Can get a tad cold but no big deal. I don't have traffic issues and guns are a requirement :-)
Back to the Neon thread...

I think you mean "Bates Motel"
Funny you should mention that. A house here in Phoenix puts out a sign like that every Halloween. That is the only decoration on the house and I love it.

Hey Creighton,
You start making cool neon signs and I'll be one of your first customers... Would like a "Game Room" & drive-in sign in mulit-color!
