So I picked up a second non-embossed Ideal 55A about a month ago for $30. It was missing everything of course, but it cooled well. I originally bought it for parts, mainly the inner tub- as the tub in my other slider is pretty rusty. The machine I bought for parts was really straight- so I got the idea to paint it red, put some Coca-Cola decals on it, and just use it as a cooler.
I took it to get sandblasted, and got a nice surprise when I picked it up.
Yes- that is an embossed Pepsi emblem underneath all that bondo!
At this point, I think it would not make sense to continue with my Coca-Cola idea, but from a value standpoint, wanted to get everyone else's opinion.

I'd take an embossed Pepsi or a non embossed Coke any day.

I say stick with your original idea, Pepsi 55's are easy to find and hard to sell.

If I do decide to sell it later on down the road-I don't want to get stuck with it.
I think a red machine would be much more desirable.

I'd take an embossed Pepsi over a generic anytime.

I'm a Coke guy - but I agree with Kilroy. Embossing is way cooler to me than a generic.
