Cavalier 96 coinco mechanism - What model needed??
«

Could someone let me know if any Coinco coin mech would work for a cavalier 96, or are there only specific ones?
If you have one, please let me know as I'm looking on ebay now as well to buy one.
Thanks

Functionally - I believe any mech with a Jones plug would work, it's a matter of it physically fitting.
For example, I used the Coinco 9800 out of my Cav 96e to test my Vendo V80.

Don't know if this helps but my 72 has a NRI D11002 mech in it and I believe it to be original. I had a couple different mechs in it while I was repairing it and all of them worked including the Coinco 9800 series.

Is there any way to release a bottle to test the stack without a coin mech?
Just curious.
Thanks

Here's a great tutorial on the free-play switch done by JohnieG:

I took an old dead coin mech and pulled off the cord with the male jones plug and made a testing switch that I can use when I go take a look at machines, it's a good tool to have.

Thanks completely forgot about seeing this as I've always had manual coin mechs.
