Well, just unloaded it. Don't suspect this is one you come across often since it's not in the book with a picture! It is embossed!

Well, it came to me in a trade and I really had to pony up but we both think we got the better deal, so it was a good trade. The guy found it in an antique shop this past summer. The owner of the antique shop was thinking of painting it red and using the embossed circle like a coke button and painting the arrow on... Thankfully it was saved!

Nice one Tim, I'd give it a good cleaning and leave as-is. Did this slider make the list of embossed sliders that was compiled a while back?

Believe Tim added to it...should be a total of 13?

Damn, incredible! How is it embossed? Are the individual letters embossed or the entire red circle? Just wondering. Either way, love it.

The entire circle is embossed, with the tru-ade being painted. In the slider section section of the 3rd edition of the soda machine book, he said they had to sand thru the paint to reveal the brand. Without knowing what it is, it's just an embossed circle similar to the burley's pond shape.

It also said that the tru-ade and the dads would be the rarest ones!

Very cool, nice pickup.  I wonder how TruAde actually tasted being non-carbonated, was it a cola?

From what I've heard, it was more like  Hi-C, or the orange drink McDonalds' had h so long ago. It wasn't a colam, they  had Orange, Cherry, Grape, etyc.

It is being bottled again, and found mostly in the South East - Caolinas, Florida...

No, probably not. I love the hunt and obviously I couldn't pass due to the rarity and condition, but the brand doesn't work for me. Rare is cool, but I would rather have an orange crush or a brand I like.

This is one for someone trying to get them all or has one of those collections that would makes a museum envious. I have an offer, but its hard to figure out what it is worth when comparing it to the condition of the Dad's that went for such a heavy price. This one is too nice to restore and a survivor, but I'm trying to be reasonable at the same time.  Feel free to PM if you have an opinion of value!
