hey guys,

if a vmc33 is missing the keys will that really lower the price you'd be willing to pay?  is it hard or easy to either find or re-key something like this?

what about the drum, are these out there to purchase? expensive?

Thanks

If the key is missing just drill it out, won't hurt value as you can always buy a new lock with keys. In fact if you are trying to sell the machine it's better to drill it out prior as to saying you can open it because you have no key as buyers would want to see the inside. The drum is worth more then the entire rest of the machine so yes it is expensive if you don't have it. Drums go for $300 or so.

Go to Funtronics website and order a new lock with keys and install before you offer it up forsale.

If you have the number printed on the lock, Fun-Tronics has a lot of keys available (search their website).  I got one for my V80 from Rod and Janet just based off the lock number, works great.
