I'm trying to figure out a slight "problem" that just started happening to my Vendo 110's coin mech.  It had been working fine for the last 2+ years.  About a week ago, it started acting up.  Now, when I put a dime in, the lever will go approximately 1/3 of the way down and stop.  If I let go and try again, it will THEN go down all the way, and let a bottle to pass though.  Why does it take a "double push"'<img'>

HAS ANYONE HAD THIS PROBLEM or HAVE ANY IDEAS IN TROUBLESHOOTING??

More than likely, the coin mech is just dirty.  Probably a buildup of grime and other crapt is preventing the dime from sitting properly in the cam so when you try to rotate the crank, the dime doesn't actuate the cam properly. It probably reseats correctly due to the movement of the crank.  Thus on the second attempt, now that the dime is seated properly, the crank will rotate.  Pull the coin mech and give it a good cleaning, air dry it, then try it again.

Can I use an air compressor (at a low setting) bo blow it out??

Mild soap and hot water solution, soak it for a little while and with an old tooth brush or equivalent, gently scrub all the coin passages, rinse and and dry with your compressor to get the water out of the mech to reduce possible surface rusting.

Do not attempt to spray WD-40 or something similar as these types of so-called lubricants will actually gum up the mech over time.

My six cents,
