Well this is a follow up to my post help me id this machine in the pre 60's section. Well it turned out to be a Vendo 63 A. If the serial number dating thing works this machine was made on December 1961. #01127346. That is correct right? Well this machine is really clean. I don't know if it works yet because they met me half way so it was on its back, but the inside is flawless. The outside is in really good shape. It has a few small surface rust spots here and there but it is really clean. The Chrome, or is it aluminum, is perfect. The machine is complete except for the cap catcher. Well what do you all think? What is this machine worth? And last does anyone want a Vendo 63 at a good price. I am in daytona Beach FL.

Well I just plugged it in and it cools great. It couldn't be any better. What do you all use to clean origional machines. It is nice on the outside but could use a polish. I didn't want to use rubbing compound untill you all gave me your advice. Man this is a nice machine.

Any non abrasive cleanser should work, I prefer Murphy's oil soap, it's also good at breaking up grease and dirt buildup without ruining the paint.
I'm personally scared of rubbing compound, let's leave it to a bad experience at 17 with a can of Maguire's and my 67 Plymouth. Has anyone tried car wax? If so, is it workable?
Edit : It is a nice looking machine. Congrats to ya

The machine is for sale for $500. I was really lucky on the buying price. Lets just say I got it cheep. Mine is alot earlier than yours is. I want to get rid of it quick so that is why I will sell it so low. let me know if you are interested. Where are you located? Send me an email at jdloman2000@yahoo.com and we can work out a deal.
