Red Pepsi VMC 81 on Pawn Stars....Guess who they are calling in to look at it.  I had always thought Vendo only made machines for Coca-Cola....?  I guess VMC is a different company....It sure looks like a Vendo 81.

They twice called it a "Vend 81".

Probably going to turn it into an ultra rare VMC 39.

BTW, did Corey really leave Pawn Stars?  I guess they could hire one of the dufords from American Resto.

Watched that episode as well.......Not that I was clawing at the TV screen but I was laughing to myself (and a little out loud) as they went over the machine at the shop with the seller and again with Rick,

Main differences between the Vendo 81 & Vendorlator (VMC) 81:

Vendo 81:
#1 - Manufactured ONLY for Coca-Cola, embossed main door
#2 - Large & Small Coin Door Varieties
#3 - Two-tone paint scheme (Red & White) on some later models

Vendorlator (VMC) 81:
#1 - Manufactured for (4) different brands with embossed main door (Pepsi, 7up, Royal Crown & Dr. Pepper)
#2 - Manufactured as a "generic" machine with NO embossing on main door except for the bottom of the door where the "VMC" sticker is located (Add decal or different paint scheme)
#3 - Single color paint scheme on ALL ORIGINAL UNRESTORED embossed machines (Pepsi - Blue, 7up - White, Royal Crown - Yellow, Dr. Pepper - Green)
#3 - Large coin door only.
#4 - Embossed, rounded corner square on bottom of door where "VMC" sticker is located
#5 - Coin Entry Bezel has "VMC" debossed into it

These are the main differences that I know of. It's easier and a bit more dramatic to list the VMC differences instead of the Vendo IMHO. Also the pricing on the VMC's is a whole lot higher!  laugh

Did anyone see American Resto last night?  Rick did the Pepsi 81 they brought in from pawn stars, finished product looked ok, would of liked to see close up shot of the interior etc, can anyone explain why it was all red, even interior behind insulation?  I think I would of removed the drinking fountain that was attached as well.

I can't believe they left the water fountain on it.  They were all about it being original.  That part was far from it.
