Ok, so I take the time to get a pallet, wrap it, and strap a slider today before this northeaster hits tonight.  When I get to the freight company the guy says, nope, has to be in a crate. No way, no how will they accept liability unless it is 100% crated. WTF!!  censored Yellow, ya, you are yellow alright!!  darn

Take it to Forward Air if you and the buyer have a terminal closeby.

the shipping was arranged at the other end and he has shipped a lot of stuff. It was thru UShip and the company terminal manager just didn't want to take it. He is looking into new options.

Use STI. Door to door service, they pick it up, wrap it there in front of you and off it goes. Easier for me then even going to the Post Office to mail a letter.
