WHAT IS THE SLIDE SWITCH FOR ON THE FRONT LOWER RIGHT HAND CORNER USED FOR?

Hi! & welcome, it's used to eject the nickles from the change tubes (also called an inventory switch)

both tubes are for the nickles? just fill them up?

Fill them at least half way so the switches are activated to indicate the machine can deliver change.

IF THERE IS NO NICKLES IN THE TUBES, SHOULDN'T THE "USE CORRECT CHANGE" LIGHT ILLUMINATE?

Yes, if no change is in the tubes. It should produce a used correct change light. Check to make sure the little metal tabs are not stuck in on the coin mech. Also check you light bulb.

Nope, it doesn't effect the cooling system, It's on a seperate electrical circut. (or should be anyways  ':O' )...JohnieG

'<img'> Good day folks Im new to the coca cola vending machine owners world but have a good degree of common sense. I cant seem to make the coinco mech. take quarters it wants to spit them out to the change slot. I have a vendo  V156-276. I dont know the age.

Welcome!
Have you loaded nickels into the nickel tube(s)...?
Does the machine deliver when dimes & nickels are used...?
Do you have the same coin mech as this thread is under, the Coinco 75-9800b...?
