Doing my nightly search of coke machines and found this nice original. Way to rich for my tastes being a 39 and oh buy the way, missing the drum. Why on earth would anybody all this machine "MINT"? It's ok, yeah maybe nice or better then most but mint? Not even close.

I guess the bottle drum was an option for that model year.

WEll, with no drum, it is half way to becoming a Cavalier 72.

Who has Rick Dales number to let him know?

Not only missing the drum, but missing the indexing mechanism (not cheap) and the bottle drum release wire.  So basically, over $600 in parts missing without a close look at what else might not be there.  Also appears to have some belt-line rust showing on the back of the machine.  Not exactly what I would call mint.

Maybe that's why Rick uses automated e-mail response........so many people wanting their 39 shells turned into 72's.  biggrin
The machine in this auction is a late model 39 and should be 2 tone but with stainless dividing trim.
Original paint? C'mon now,how can someone take a pic of that ID tag and post the fact that this paint is original?

I bet he still has the parts laying around; afterall, it has been in the family since new!

Ummmm.........how can he say original paint (I mean I suppose it's still on there) where you can clearly see where it was masked around the original decals on the sides  wow

I think this one falls into the category of "Oh my God are those breasts yours?".............Of course they are, I paid for them myself

Looks to me like the "Have a Coke" on hte side is a yellowed water release decal.  I may be mistaken, but I don't thinnk there were any decals put on at the factory.  The original "Have a Coke" would have been silkscreened on.

Definatly has been repainted. You can see the overspray on the id plate. I buy a lot of thermometers and people always advertise mint even though there are obviously some flaws. NOS is another one that to me means mint. Oh well thats why we have pictures. I love when there is a major flaw in the paint and the say "it came from the factory that way"

Can someone explain the electronic coin mech in the picture?  I see 2 wires going into it.  I have a couple of older 39s and I did not even know they made an electronic coin mech.  original?Huh?

The wires may be for the heating coil.  the 39's were all mechanical vending form the factory.
